I’m nearing the end of my stay in this once fair city. After only a few days I realised there’s only one newspaper that is readable - The Times. The Guardian and The Independent are so far off the lunar left planet that they are mere parodies, and the tabloids are just sport and titillation, with the emphasis on the first syllable of the last word.Jonathan Sacks Last Saturday’s Times had an interesting article by Jonathan Sacks, which shows some people realise the parlous state into which once-Great Britain has descended.
The title caught my eye:
